Cooper Holds a Wellness Day for Evans Seniors At the May meeting of the Evans Democratic Club, Evans Town Councilman Paul Cooper announced a Wellness Day for Evans Seniors on Monday, May 21. Cooper coordinated the event with TLC Healthcare Network and the Evans Senior Center. "There will be glucose monitoring and blood pressure screening," he described. "Evans seniors age 60 and over should come to the Evans Senior Center at Jerusalem Corners between 1 and 4 p.m.". The event will include an information session about the New York State's Berger Commission."We want to raise awareness about this. The event will emphasize the importance of TLC to the healthcare of our community," noted Cooper. Cooper thanked TLC Marketing Coordinator Kendric Bentham and Julie Roach, Evans Senior Services Director, for helping to coordinate the event. Club president Jonica DiMartino reminded all that club members Bob Catalino, Sr. and Anthony "Neno" LaRusso will be honored at the Third Annual Spring Recognition Dinner held by the Southtowns Democratic Club. This will be held Saturday, May 19 at Eden Memorial VFW Post #8265, 2551 March Road in Eden . Open bar (beer/wine) is at 5:30 p.m.; dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. Save the date: the Town Club's annual picnic is on Sunday, August 5th at 1 p.m., at Evans Town Park The Evans Democratic Club exists to assist the Democratic Committee to recruit, elect, and support good leaders to govern and guide this community.
