Candidates Pledge at Evans Democratic Club

The Democratic candidates for Town office took a pledge at the June meeting of the Evans Democratic Club.  "We pledge to run an honest, issue-oriented and clean campaign," promised Supervisor candidate Fran Pordum, Councilman Paul Cooper, and former Councilman Tom Partridge.

Club president Jonica DiMartino announced that the Taste of Evans is scheduled for Sunday, July 15 at the Town Park in Angola.  .  The Club will have a booth for attendees to meet the candidates and register to vote.

Erie County Legislator Bob Reynolds addressed the local county road construction in the Town.  "There's a problem with a sewer line on Big Sister's Creek that's temporarily stopped construction.  My office is in touch with the County's people who are looking into this."  Reynolds outlined several road improvement projects that have started in the Town this year.
 

Save the date: the Town Club's annual picnic is on Sunday, August 5th at 1 p.m., at Evans Town Park.
