Auction Planned for Democratic Picnic

 

Former Town Chair Anthony "Nino" LaRusso will hold his yearly auction at the Evans Democratic Club's Picnic on August 5.  Inspired by the theory that "one man's trash is another man's treasure," the Club welcomes donations of items for Nino's Auction. 

Do you have something that you don't use, that just needs a new home?  How about those commemorative Bills beer steins?  That box of exercise videos?  That crystal lamp from that doesn't go with your Mission furniture?  Bring it with you to Nino's Auction.  Some beer lover will sip from those steins, some exerciser will firm up to those videos, some poorly illuminated person will love that lamp.

Bring your donation with you to the picnic on Sunday, August 5, starting at 1 p.m. at the Evans Town Park  across from South Shore Beach Club.  Proceeds support this year's Democratic Town candidates: Fran Pordum for Town Supervisor, Paul Cooper for reelection as Councilman, Tom Partridge for his return to the Council, and Anthony Barone for reelection as Town Justice.  Adult tickets are $10, Seniors are $8, and kids under 12 are free.

The Evans Democratic Club exists to assist the Democratic Committee to recruit, elect, and support good leaders to govern and guide this community.  Are you a Democrat and interested in joining the Democratic Club?  Then come to the next meeting on Tuesday, July 17, 7:30 p.m. at the VFW Post 5798, 8989 Erie Road in Angola .
