PORDUM RALLY A SUCCESS

The Pordum for Supervisor campaign is closer to victory in November. On the night of Columbus Day holiday, a packed crowd of supporters gathered at the Meadowbrook Restaurant & Bar in Derby, to rally and support the Pordum campaign. Pordum is a past recipient of the Citation of Merit from the National Columbus Day Committee.

Pordum was introduced by his campaign manager, Anthony "Neno" LaRusso, who introduced the county and local elected officials who were present. Special recognition went to the Honorable Anthony Barone, who is running for re-election as Evans Town Judge. "Judge Barone is the longest-serving town judge in the entire state," noted LaRusso.

Pordum thanked everybody for their support with special thanks to his wife, Becky, who has been going door-to-door with him. "The election is less than a month away, and we wouldn't be here right now if it weren't for everyone's support. This election is so important, because it about the direction the Town will go.

"Many of you know what I've been able to accomplish for our Town. I was able to get the Sturgeon Point Marina project done, I was able to get the Overhead Road bridge rebuilt, I was able to get a correctional facility located in nearly Collins, and I was able to get the reconstruction of Route 5 done.

"But Evans has so much potential and together we can do more. Our town has great natural resources and talented people. Let's draw upon that to increase business and tourism. I know how to do this, because I was Chairman of the Local Governments Committee when I served in Albany. I have the knowledge and experience. When you vote for me, you're voting to make sure Evans keeps moving forward."

Pordum and Barone, along with Paul Cooper and Tom Partridge, are the Democratic-endorsed slate for the Town election on November 6. Pordum is also endorsed by the Independence and Working Families parties.
