The Southtowns Democrats will honor two Evans residents at its Fourth Annual Spring Recognition Dinner.

Karen Connors Erickson will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Joe Catalano will be presented with the Honorary Veteran Award.  Joe was recently elected Commander of the Evans VFW Post 5798.  

Other awards will go to Eden Democratic Club chair Frank McLaughlin, who will be honored as Democrat of the Year.  Hon. Brian Higgins, Congressman for the 27th District of NY, will receive the Elected Official Award. 

The Spring Recognition Dinner will be held in Evans this year, on Saturday, May 31 at the VFW Post 5798, on Erie Road near Jubilee.  The event opens at 5:30 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30 p.m.  For tickets, contact Tish Brady at 549-6428 or Carol Marble at 941-5215.  Tickets are $35 per person, or $60 per couple.
