March 22, 2009 Members of the Evans Democratic Club enjoyed a bus trip to the Seneca-Niagara Casino on Sunday, March 22. Bob Beck organized the event, which offered $20 in casino credit, $5 towards the buffet, refreshments on the bus, all for the price of a $30 ticket. A split-club on the ride to Niagara Falls resulted in Donnie Battaglia being a winner even before he got to the Casino. Club members enjoyed an afternoon of gaming, relaxing, and peoplewatching. The day was capped for many by a buffet dinner of crab legs, prime rib, chicken, shrimp, Italian and Chinese food, and an array of desserts. Reports on the trip home revealed the slot machines were largely "tight" that day. Those who braved the gaming tables had better luck; at least those who responded to inquiry about their day's results. The Club will do this again in November, before hunting season. To reserve a spot, please let Bob Beck or Mark Parker know of your interest. The next Club meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at the VFW on Route 5. copyright©2006-09 Evans Democratic Club |
